Rainbow Voices

An awareness campaign that uses poetry as an answer to abuse.

The itch

For many LGBTQI+ individuals, abuse and discrimination remain internalized and silenced. Through the Rainbow Voices campaign, Positive Voice wanted to break this silence, creating a space for stories that are rarely allowed to be told—especially in a way that resonates with younger, digitally native audiences.

The scratch

FFor us, the challenge was to confront abuse without reproducing violence.

We looked at the Greek language and found something unsettlingly powerful: the word κακοποίηση (abuse) contains the word ποίηση (poetry). This inspired the idea that poetry could be an antidote—a safe way to name a pain that feels unnamable.

Thanks to the precious insights of Positive Voice, we developed three spoken-word poems that felt like personal monologues of those whose stories had been silenced.

Director Gevi Dimitrakopoulou then translated these into intimate short films, specifically designed to operate as video confessions on TikTok and Instagram.

The relief

A human-centered campaign that transforms personal testimony into collective awareness. By turning poetry into resistance and vulnerability into strength, Rainbow Voices proved that change doesn’t always start with shouting. It starts with being heard.
